Alte und berühmte Familie, ursprünglich aus Sizilien. Ein Francesco und ein Antonio, Vater und Sohn, waren im 17. Jahrhundert Anwälte im Büro des Konservators des königlichen Erbes; ein Salvatore war von 1743 bis 1744 Notar des Schwurgerichts von Acireale, er selbst kaufte das Lehen Floristella, mit dem er am 26. Februar 1782 belehnt wurde, und starb am 10. September 1787 in Acireale; Angelo Maria, Doktor der Rechtswissenschaften, Söhne des Vorgängers, wurde am 15. Februar 1788 in Floristella investiert; an Agostino und Maugeri war ein adliger Acatapano von Acireale und erhielt im November 1803 das Lehen des Territoriums von S. Margherita oder Fogliarini, dessen Belehnung er am 20. März 1804 erhielt und das er an seinen Neffen Angelo Maria übertrug, der damit belehnt wurde am 14. August 1808. Mit DM am 12.
