Le Grand Armorial de France, registre de Périgueux, donne sous le nom de Noël, juge de Thiviers; Losangé d'or et d'azur; et dans le même Armorial et même registre: sous le nom de Jeanne Noël, veuve de François de Chauveron, écuyer, seigneur de Dussac: De sable à une bande d'or accosté de deux molettes de même. Un conseiller du Roi, juge civil et criminel de la ville et paroisse de Thiviers, était de cette famille. Et aux États-Généraux de 1789, on voit parmi les votants dans l'Ordre de la Noblesse: Messire Pierre-Théodore-Noël du Peyrat, écuyer seigneur de Razac, Saint-Avit, Mauchat, la Haute-Bruyère et autres lieux, conseiller du Roi, substitut du procureur-général au Parlement de Paris.
