Illustre famille de Milan et de Plaisance, dont est issu un Cristoforo qui s'est installé à Vérone au début du XVe siècle. Giovan-Luigi et Pietro, au même siècle, étaient professeurs de droit civil, et ce dernier en 1497 fut inscrit au Collège des juges. Un Luigi en 1556 avait le poste de chevalier de la Municipalité. Il fut agrégé en 1514 au Conseil Noble de Vérone, dont faisaient partie Bartolomeo en 1526 et Luigi en 1567. Une autre branche. Ancienne famille noble du Piémont, ils sont dans les mémoires comme barons de Vignale. La présence de la devise dans la bibliographie documentée de la famille confirme la noblesse ancestrale de la famille.
