Em 1612, Carlo P. dos condes de S. Martino fez a compra do feudo de Quart em Val d'Aosta, do qual seus descendentes mantiveram posse até 1807, período em que fizeram a transferência das terras que lhes eram deixadas e da digno de nota, entre os seus membros, um Barão P. Em 1704, ele defendeu bravamente a cidade de Ivrea contra os assaltos do duque de Vendòme. Neste século, a família P. foi representada por um cavaleiro da SS. Annunziata, que apoiou eminentes gabinetes militares e diplomáticos, e uma grande cruz da Ordem das Maurícias, major general da cavalaria.
