Originalmente de Bergamasco e propriamente de Albino, essa família mudou-se para Lecce, Alessano e Nardò, por razões comerciais, por volta de 1550. Atribuída à primeira ordem cívica dessas cidades, possuía bens feudais e foi recebida, por justiça, em SMO de Malta desde 1728 na pessoa do cavaleiro Giambattista. Está registrado na lista do priorado de Barletta e no registro de famílias feudais há mais de duzentos anos na pessoa de Michele Personè. Em 1844, ela foi admitida no RR. Guarda-costas. A família está registrada na Lista Nobre Oficial da Itália com o título de nobre (masculino e feminino) na pessoa de Clementina, Michele, Diego, viúva Tafuri. Irmãs: a viúva de Raffaella, Bozzi Colonna e Elena em Personè. Maria Teresa, de Luca Antonio, de Giacomo Maria.
