Antigua familia lombarda, con residencia en la ciudad de Varese, de clara y ancestral virtud, repartida a lo largo de los siglos en diversas regiones de Italia y del mundo. El origen de este apellido, según los genealogistas autorizados, hay que buscarlo en un apodo ligado a la palabra dialectal, tanto lombarda como piamontés, "perucca" (= peluca) procedente de la extrañeza del cabello.
