Di questa illustre famiglia parlano a lungo gli storici forlivesi, che menzionano nel 1454 un Giovanni, di ser Ugo, sostenitore degli Oderlaffi, capo delle milizie di Pino III e, insieme ad altri ragguardevoli cittadini, membro del consiglio a reggimento del suo principato, nell'infanzia del figlio Tebaldo, lasciato sotto l'autorevole protezione di Sisto IV e di Ferdinando d'Aragona, re di Napoli, per maggiormente assicurarlo nell'ereditario dominio; un Francesco, partigiano del Rangoni e contrario al Riario, allora signore di Forlì; un Bartolomeo, custode di Caterina Sforza; Bernardino, dottore di leggi, ambasciatore per i Forlivesi a Papa Giulio II e poi pretore di Ravenna nel 1502. Nel 1547 la città di Forlì fu divisa dalle fazioni dei Numaj e dei Perughi. Si sollevarono gli uni e gli altri nel mese di giugno, venendo ferito il cav.
