Linhagem piemontesa antiga, de virtude clara e ancestral, que se espalhou ao longo dos séculos em várias regiões da Itália, cujo brasão é relatado pelo comendador GB de Crollalanza, nos volumes de seu "Dicionário Histórico Blasonic de famílias nobres italianas". Durante o século XVI, essa família foi ilustrada por cinco cavaleiros de Malta, dos quais Arduino, criado em 1554, morreu no cerco a Castel Sant'Elmo em 1565, e Filippo, criado em 1576, foi anterior na Lombardia. Além disso, a um ramo desta família pertencia a Giovambattista Pescatore, que morreu em 1558, um poeta de Romagna, que tinha assento no Senado de Ravena.
