Iscritta nella matricola di Ottone Visconti. Il Giulini (Mem. spett., V, 493 I edizione) ricorda sotto l'anno 1149 un Lantelmo da Sesto "uomo nobile" e le sue pretese circa la nomina del clero di quel paese. Il primo noto nella genealogia documentata è un Dionigi, dal quale discende per varie generazioni Ercole (n. 1717), padre di Gaspare Francesco (1746-1828), giureconsulto, e di Marianna andata sposa a don Luigi Barzi, patrizio milanese e la cui nobiltà fu riconosciuta con decreto 18 gennaio 1790 dell'I.R. Consiglio di Governo e lo stemma gentilizio delineato nel Codice Araldico, così che potè essere ammessa agli onori di Corte. Dal predetto Gaspare Francesco discendono gli attuali membri della famiglia, che ottennero il riconoscimento della nobiltà e dello stemma con Decreto Ministeriale 15 settembre 1906 per mf. e sono iscritti nell'Elenco ufficiale in persona di: Ercole, di Fiorenzo, di Gaspare e le di lui figlie: Ersilia ed
