Antiga e nobre família toscana originária de Fiesole e espalhada ao longo dos séculos em diferentes regiões da Itália. Os nomes de seus componentes são encontrados principalmente em contratos de compra de terrenos e casas. Gio. Baptista, notário em Florença, obteve o convento em 1369. O comendador GB de Crollalanza relata o brasão desta família nos volumes de seu histórico dicionário de brasões de famílias italianas nobres e notáveis. Das inscrições das antigas placas sepulcrais das igrejas do Monte San Giuliano, publicadas em Pisa, sob a direção do Giornale Araldico, Rocca San Casciano de 1886, relatos dessa família originária da Toscana, onde ele morava em Pisa. A presença da arma e o lema na bibliografia documentada da família Piacenti confirma a nobreza ancestral alcançada pela família.
