Decorated with the title of marquis on the fief of S. Giovanni in Frosolone in Molise, in the person of Tommaso Piccirillo, succeeded by Giovanna Spada, marquise of said land, as per R. Assenso given on 1st July 1803, Tommaso was the last feudal owner of S. Giovanni a Frosolone (feudal territory), headed, on 22 December 1716, to Tommaso Spada for having purchased it from Antonio Luciani, who, in turn, had purchased it from the R. Corte. The title of marquis was originally granted on the fief of S. Giovanni in Frosolone, with Royal Privilege April 24, 1717, to Tommaso Spada, president of the Royal Chamber of the Summary. Tommaso was succeeded by Vincenzo, and by this, Gennaro, and then the sister of the latter Giovanna, wife of Giovan Battista Piccirillo, who on March 2, 1779 obtained regular registration in the coupon of Molise. Tommaso, Marquis of S. Giovanni in Frosolone, was succeeded by Gio. Battista Piccirillo and his mother Giovanna Spada, who had the last heading in the coupon of 1803.
