Bartolomeo, of Piccolomo, of Montone, who in 1226 dealt with the castellan of S. Miniato on behalf of the Municipality of Siena, and, while he was consul of Mercanzia, returned the castle of Orgia to the Republic. He was councilor for the third of S. Martino in 1230 and 1237 and supervisor of Biccherna in 1234. Piccolomini Carli and Piccolomini Clementini descend from his brother Rustichino. Guglielmo di Bartolomeo was a councilor in 1250. He was an officer of the Guelph Party and as such attended in 1267 the peace between the Municipality of Siena and the Guelphs. Guglielmo di Guglielmo was found in 1280 among those who promised to observe peace between the Guelphs and the Ghibellines and in 1290 and 1307 he was a councilor of the Republic. Together with his son Meuccio he sold the castle of Castiglion d'Orcia to the Municipality of Siena, in 1319, which
