Derived from the ancient Forciglioni family. The three brothers Cenni, Lorenzo and Nannozzo Forciglioni divided their family into three branches which distinguished themselves with three different surnames. Lorenzo's took the name of Frilli, the other of Nannozzo believed the ancestor's name. Cenni, who came to Florence, had for his son Pierozzo who became a Florentine citizen for his son Nicolò, who in 1392 became a notary, enjoyed the proconsulate in 1388, 1396, 1408 and 1412. From this Nicolò, called de 'Pierozzi, was born Sant' Antonino, who was elected Archbishop of Florence in 1445. Another branch. Todi family. A Francesco in 1828 obtained the inscription to that city nobility for himself and descendants. The family is registered in the Official Italian Noble List with the title of noble of Todi (male and female).
