Famiglia nobile di Marsala al dir del Minutoli che le dà per ceppo Antonio Fici giurato, e sindaco nel 1495. Da documenti di famiglia intanto rileviamo derivare dalla nobilissima Fieschi di Genova corrottamente detta Fici. Il Mugnos la vuole passata in Sicilia per un Luigi Foschi o Fiesco nobile genovese a' servigi militari di re Federico II d'Aragona. Checchè ne sia di tutto ciò ella appare tra le più antiche della città di Marsala, ove à sempre occupato le più riguardevoli cariche. Fiorirono: un Antonino primo duca di Amalfi per concessione di re Filippo v 1710; un Mario di lui figlio investito 1744; un Francesco Antonio investito 1760, lo stesso anno governatore del Monte di Pietà di Palermo, molto encomiato dal Diblasi; altro Mario governatore di Modena 1790; ed un Giovanni padre del vivente duca di Amafi Luigi Fici e Sarzana. Vanta in noltre i cavalieri gerosolimitani frà Giuseppe 1719,
