Discendente da Giovanni, figlio del secondogenito di Ludovico, marchese di Casalnuovo nel 1639, signore di Monteroduni il 20 maggio 1694; Luigi, figli del suddetto Ludovico, fu investito del titolo di principe su Monterodumi il 20 novembre 1702. Feudatario di Gallo, 4 luglio 1721. Per il matrimonio, 13 luglio 1700, del sunnominato Luigi con Anna a Maria Sances de Sotomayor Iveglia Ohmuchievich, duchessa di Castoria, contessa di Tuhegl, i detti titoli passarono a quelli di Monteroduni. Aggiunzione del nome della illustre estinta famiglia della Leonessa pel matrimonio 31 maggio 1834 del principe Giovanni con Carolina Ruffo Della Leonessa. Con D. M. 30 agosto 1912 furono riconosciuti i titoli di principe di Monteroduni, conte di Tuhegl, barone del Gallo, patrizio napoletano.
