Originaria di Provenza, venne in Napoli con Carlo I d'Angiò. Se ne ha notizia in Regno dal 1265 con Giacomo Campagnola, vicerè in Terra di Bari, e poi capitano di Napoli. Patrizia napoletana del Seggio di Montagna, ricevuta nel S.M. Ordine di Malta dall'anno 1534. Rostaino nel 1290 ebbe da re Carlo II d'Angiò la bagliva della terra Castellana. Federico, Maestro di Campo di Carlo il Bello, re di Francia, sposò in Napoli nel 1328 Lucrezia Sanseverino. Aurelio paggio di re Federico d'Aragona nel 1500. Prospero, cavaliere gerosolimitano, fece parte della difesa di Malta contro i Turchi; nel 1571 fu inviato come ambasciatore presso il Sommo Pontefice. Domenico, cavaliere gerosolimitano, fondò nel 1700 il Beneficio dell'Adadia di Santa Maria della Incoronata. Emanuele Maria fu vescovo di Sessa. Giacomo monaco Teatino e generale dell'Ordine nel 1850. Gennaro maggiordomo di settimana del re Ferdinando II, cavaliere dell'Ordine Costantiniano. Marcello fu investito del
