Carlo Alberto re di Sardegna, coi diplomi in data 12 maggio 1835, in considerazione di particolari benemerenze, concedeva a Fortunato Pintor, tesoriere generale del regno, figlio di Giuseppe Maria, che tanto si era distinto primieramente nella tentata invasione francese della Sardegna nel 1793 e quindi nella qualità di regio cassiere della tesoreria generale del regno, i titoli di cavaliere e di nobile, trasmissibili ai figliuoli ed ai discendenti maschi, Da Fortunato nacque in Cagliari il 27 luglio 1833 Giacomo, dottore in medicina e chirurgia, che fu valente medico e dottore aggregato alla Facoltà di medicina e di chirurgia della R. Università di Cagliari, Dal matrimonio di Giacomo con donna Antonietta Leo, celebrato in Cagliari il 6 febbraio 1875, nacquero nella stessa città: Francesca (2 novembre 1875); Fortunato (28 settembre 1877), dottore in lettere, eminente erudito, insigne letterato, illustre e benemerito bibliotecario onorario del Senato del regno, decorato di medaglia d'argento
