Famiglia originaria della Catalogna, detta Pinturo, Pintur o Pintor, assai antica e nobile, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. L'origine di tal cognominizzazione, anteriore al XIV secolo, dovrebbe derivare dal termine catalano "pintor", ossia pittore, al quale è, senza dubbio, riconducibile il sardo "pintore", dal medesimo significato. Verso la metà del XVII secolo, tal casato pose dimora in Barcellona e, un altro ramo, si stabilì in Cuba. Un'altra omonima famiglia, invece, residente in Valladolid, fu investita dello straniero titolo di Conti di Añorga e, con privilegio 10 marzo 1882, fu concesso, a José Antonio, di utilizzarlo anche in Spagna. Del ramo di Barcellona, ricordiamo John Lopez, marito di Donna Teresa Andana, battezzata nella cattedrale di Barellona, il primo marzo 1744, dalla quale ebbe Miguel José.
