Antiga e ilustre família de Premilcuore, conhecida como Piovacari ou Piovaccari, de clara e ancestral virtude, passou a residir na Toscana antes do século XVIII, espalhada ao longo dos séculos em diferentes regiões da Itália, com grandes povoações na região do Vêneto, e do mundo, com os núcleos mais importantes da América do Norte. Com a festa de 4 de maio de 1847, a magistratura cívica de Cortona propôs a inclusão de Domenico, descendente de uma ilustre e rica família de Premilcuore, administrador da Câmara de Superintendência Comunitária de Arezzo, e então secretário do Departamento à classe nobre de aquela cidade de Ambrogio, das Finanças. Esta proposta encontrou benevolente aceitação no rescrito soberano de 27 de maio daquele ano. Por outro lado, a família Piovaccari sempre se destacou pelo alto nível de seus expoentes, que se firmaram tanto nas profissões liberais quanto nas carreiras militares e eclesiásticas.
