Originaria di Brescia, dette anticamente Fisogni, illustrasi sotto tal nome con un Orazio sopracomito nell'armata veneta, morto combattendo contro i turchi nel 1750, e con un Giovanni condottieri di cavalli nell'esercito di Carlo V. Trasferitasi nel secolo XVI a Monteleone (Calabria) fu aggregata a quella nobiltà, ed ottenne in seguito, per speciali benemerenze acquistate, il diritto di inquartare con le proprie le armi della nuova patria. Con RR. LL. PP. del 4 novembre 1797 venne decorata nella persona di un Gregorio, caporuota della Real Camera di S. Chiara del titolo di marchese, titolo che venne riconfermato con Regio Decreto 15 settembre 1841 ad un Onofrio B. segretario della consulta del Regno, figlio d'un Gregorio morto nel 1804, d'un Franc. Antonio fratello del primo concessionario. La famiglia è iscritta nell'Elenco Ufficiale nobiliare e nel Libro d'oro nob. it. col detto titolo marchionale (mpr) ricon.1887 e 1909, nonché con quello di nobile
