Questa famiglia passò nobilmente con i militari vestiggi da Catalogna in Sicilia, e in Palermo dove godè i supremi carichi di Capitano, di Pretore, e di Senatore della medesma Città, con molta sua lode, Giacomo P. servì di Consigliero al Rè Alfonso d'Aragona, e suo figlio Gio.Francesco, e precisamente nell'acquisto del Regno di Napoli, perloche n'hebbe da quel magnanimo Rè la Baronia feudale di Batticani, e la Tonnara di San Giuliano di Trapani, nel 1452 come ne' quali successe suo figlio Pietro Antonio P. primogenito però Gio.Francesco P., che servì parimente con l'arte militare il predetto Rè n'acquistò in ricompensa il governo durante sua vita della Città di Regio: perloche havendosi quindi casato con Angela Buzzetta dama nobile Regitana con grossa dote, fece ivi la sua residenza, con la quale procreò Giacomo, Pietro Antonio, Francesco, e Lodovico, che tutti vissero nobilmente. Pietro Antonio si casò nella Città di Monteleone nobilmente,
