Se conoce el origen de la familia y ello da lugar a supuestos que ofrecen la posibilidad de promover investigaciones de las que se pueda extraer información fidedigna. A lo largo de los siglos pasaron con varios Reyes para conquistar las tierras del Reino de Nápoles, muchos Lores y Caballeros franceses; quien, después de la victoria obtenida por aquel Rey, procedente de la misma remunerada con Estados y riquezas, dio vida a una prosapia y instaló con ellas moradas en castillos, o torres amuralladas en Nápoles, y otras partes del Reino, como premio de sus servicios militares; incluida esta familia. Familia de origen francés, emigró a Livorno a principios del siglo XVIII. Giuseppe fue nombrado cónsul toscano en las islas de S. Pietro y S. Antioco en Cerdeña; y en este cargo continuaron su hijo, Sebastiano, y su hijo: Gregorio Sebastiano. Este último fue propuesto para ingreso en la clase
