Ancient and very noble Piedmontese family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Known as Platineri, Piatineri or Platinetti, this illustrious lineage originated in the city of Pinerolo and boasts the same agnation as the Napioni counts of Cocconato, known in that city since the 14th century. A branch of the Napioni, in fact, took the name of Platineri - also attested in the Piatineri and Platinetti forms - by obligation of the lawyer Alessandro Platineri (testament of November 5, 1585). The new line registered the coat of arms in the year 1613. Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures which gave birth.
