Haute bourgeoisie établie à Allègre au XVI siècle. Ses membres sont qualifiés des seigneurs de Bataillou et de la Lande. Honorable homme Noël Pouderoux garde et tenant le scel de la terre et marquisat d'Allègre, vivait en 1577. Il avait épousé, en secondes noces, Marie et était possessionné à Tapon près St-Ilpize. Noble Antoine Pouderoux son fils, receveur des tailles en l'élection de Brioude, s'allia, le 29 mars 1581, à Catherine de Perpezat du Mas. Peu après, cette famille passa en Forez où, en 1671, Jacques Pouderoux écuyer, seigneur de Bataillou et de la Lande, est qualifié conseiller du roi, président et lieutenant-général en la sénéchaussée de ce pays. Anne-Marie Pouderoux, fille du précédent, contracta mariage le 19 juillet 1685 avec Philibert marquis d'Apchon, vicomte de Montrond, marquis de Poncin, etc. Plusieurs prêtres et religieux au XVIème siècle.
