Antiga família originária de Dronero. A ele pertencia o capitão Paride, que entregou o brasão em 1614. Dele nasceu Orazio, que teve numerosos filhos, pelos quais obteve a imunidade de 12 filhos em 27 de novembro de 1634. O filho mais velho Paride deu origem ao conde de Zumaglia, o segundo filho Gaspare ao conde de Rigrasso e o quarto filho Francesco ao conde de Rigaud; este último já extinto. O atual ramo ascendeu à nobreza com Gaspare, filho do capitão Paride Orazio, filho do mencionado Gaspare, que foi enfeitado pelas fazendas de Strepe, Sprina e Rigrasso; a ser chamado de Rigrasso em 28 de novembro de 1735 e investido com o título comital em 29 do mesmo mês.
