Por decreto de 26 de março de 1650 dos Representantes da República Veneziana de Verona, decreto preservado no original nos Arquivos do Estado de Pisa, foi aprovada a árvore genealógica apresentada por Francesco, qualificada como cidadão veronense, uma árvore que a partir de Bergo alcançou o mencionado Francisco, reconhecendo assim nele a descendência da histórica família pisana, que desde 1320 desfrutava da suprema honra dos idosos. A favor de Giulio, de Giuseppe Pontedera, que tentara descer por Francesco por linha reta, o título de patrício pisano foi reconhecido por decreto ministerial de 26 de julho de 1904, transmissível aos descendentes legítimos e naturais de ambos os sexos.
