La famiglia, ascritta al grado di quarto della cittadinanza aretina il 27 agosto 1652 e promossa al secondo nel 1671 fu, con decreto del General Consiglio del 13 maggio 1746, dichiarata abile al gonfalonierato, onore al quale fu assunto, nel 1750, Bernardino, di Bernardino. Il medesimo fu, con decreto della Deputazione sulla nobiltà del 23 aprile 1756, iscritto con i suoi discendenti nel Libro d'Oro dei nobili di Arezzo. Alessandro, senatore ed amministratore delle R. Rendite in Toscana, fu dall'impereratore Francesco I, con diploma 16 dicembre 1820, omologato al granduca il 15 aprile 1822, decorato del titolo di barone. Alessandro, di Giovanni, ebbe riconosciuto il diritto alla nobiltà aretina con decreto, ministeriale 22 giugno 1905.
