Antigua y noble familia Tolentino, pero originaria de Sant'Andrea. Tenemos noticias en Tolentino desde 1430 con un Caterbo, viviendo en 1430. Cornelio fue notario y alcalde de Serra San Quirico en 1601. Le dio a su patria personajes ilustres, que ocuparon los primeros cargos y magistrados desde la antigüedad.
