Maison noble qui compte parmi ses membres les seigneurs de Chaude-Oreille, de Mouleyres, du Villaret, de Neyzac, de la Chaud, etc. On trouve son nom diversement écrit Pourchas ou Porchas. Guillaume, chevalier, seigneur de Chaude-Oreille, rend hommage à l'évêque du Puy en 1296-1308 et 1318, des fiefs qu'il possédait dans les mandements de Chapteuil et de Mercoeur-Malrevers. Il est dit en 1326, mari d'Agnès et père de Guillaume, de Jean, bayle de l'Université de St-Mayol en 1340, de Hugues et de Guigon Porchas, seigneurs de Chaude-Oreille en 1343 et 1362. Ce dernier fut témoin, le 9 mai 1363, du testament de Marguerite Adhémar de Monteil, veuve de Lioutaud, baron de Solignac. Noble Jean Pourchas, seigneur de Neyzac, de Chaude-Oreille, lui succéda en 1383. Il était marié en 1372 à Isabelle de la Tour. On trouve encore: noble Guillaume Porchas vivant de 1383 à 1459, possesseur d'une rente féodale à Rochelimagne près Polignac; noble Pierre Porchas, seigneur de Chaude-Oreille, etc. (1448-1459); nobles Louis et Hugues dit Gonet Porchas, seigneurs de Chaude-Oreille, etc. près Chapteuil. (1473-1480).
