La casa solariega de este apellido estaba sita en la aldea de Cerdigo, del partido judicial de Castro Urdiales (Santander). Francisco P. y Cestona, natural de Cerdigo, tuvo en su mujer, doña María Ventura de San Pedro, natural de Castro Urdiales, ese hijo Manuel de P. San Pedro, natural de Cerdigo, que casó con doña Bernarda Allende Solórzano, natural de Castro Urdiales (hija de Antonio Allende Solórzano y de doña Catalina de Horcasias, naturales de Castro Urdiales); y procrearon a Nicolás de P. y Allende, natural de Castro Urdiales, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Micaela Peñarredonda Reyes, de la misma naturaleza (hija de Lorenzo Peñarredonda y de doña María Reyes Ruiz, naturales de Castro Urdiales), naciendo de esa unión Juan José de P. y Peñarredonda, natural de Castro Urdiales y Caballero de la Orden de Carlos III, en la que ingresó en 1814.
