Con R. Assenso 14 maggio 1891 e D.M. 20 giugno stesso anno il signore Niccolò Antonio, figlio di Gaetano e Giaconia, e di Francesca De Marco, baronessa di Torrenova, venne riconosciuto nel titolo di barone di Torrenova. Egli stesso, non sappiamo con quanto diritto, con RR. LL. PP. del 24 febbraio 1899 venne autorizzato ad assumere il titolo di marchese di Irosa. Con D.R. 5 agosto 1901, susseguito da RR. LL. PP. del 26 dicembre 1901, venne concesso a Francesco, il titolo di barone, trasmissibile ai suoi discendenti maschi da maschi, in linea e per ordine di promigenitura, con facoltà di passare, in mancanza di discendenza mascolina di detto concessionario, al fratello di lui, Gaetano nato in Petralia Soprana il 17 ottobre 1841, sposato il 14 novembre 1868 con Gisueppa Rinaldi.
