Antique chevalerie, tirant son nom de la ville de Pradelles, où elle était encore possessionnée féodalement au XIIIème siècle, ainsi que les de Villate de Jonchères, qui parassaient avoir des liens de parenté avec cette maison. Guillaume, chanoine de St-Agrève du Puy, figure dans un acte de juillet 1212. Pierre, clerc de l'église du Puy, est présent le 29 septembre 1229, à une transaction entre l'évêque, le chapitre de N.-D. d'une part, et le vicomte de Polignac d'autre part. Hébrard est témoin le 31 juillet 1266, du testament d'Adhémare, femme de Hugues de la Tour-St-Vidal, seigneur de Barges, auquel acte est appendu son sceau en double exemplaire. Noble Hébrard fait hommage en 1285 à l'évêque du Puy, du quart du château et de la seigneurie de Jonchères, ainsi que de sa maison, forteresse et terroir du Cros.
