Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Perrot, jure l'association pour empêcher l'invasion étrangère en 1379; Jean, épouse en 1401, Isabeau Gicquel, dame de la Lohière; Jean, ambassadeur de la duchesse Anne vers Henri VII d'Angleterre, en 1488, Jacques, en épousant en 1520, Jacquette de Coëtlogon, dame de Lezonnet, prit les armes de Coëtlogon avec une brisure, et leurs descendants les ont conservées. Un lieutenant général des eaux et forêts en 1534; trois gouverneurs de Concarneau depuis 1558, chevaliers de l'ordre; un lieutenant général pour le Roi en Bretagne, mort en 1630; un évêque de Cornouaille en 1614, mort en 1640; un procureur général aux comptes en 1650; trois présidents à mortier depuis 1700 et un chevalier de Malte en 1772. Un membre admis aux honneurs de la cour en 1785. La branche de la Lohière fondue dans Avaugour Saint Laurent; la branche de Châteuagiron éteinte en 1848.
