Très illustre maison de la Bretagne, d'une haute antiquité, dont les premiers auteurs connus sont: Rolland, croisé en 1248 (Chartes latines de 1191 à 1249 relatives aux croisés, provenant du cabinet Courtois); mais nous ne savons à laquelle des familles il appartenait. Pierre, vivant en 1296, épouse Marguerite Nuz; Yvon, vivant en 1426, épouse Béatrix, dame de la Haye; un chevalier de Saint-Michel en 1728; un président aux comptes en 1742; un abbé du Tronchet, mort en 1786. Autre branche de cette famille: Pierre, époux en 1404 d'Olive Bouan, dont: Jean, auteur des seigneuries du Plessis, et Jean, qui suit. Jean, vivant en 1435, marié à Robine du Breil, père de Jean, auteur des seigneurs de la Touche, d'Henry, auteur des seigneurs de la Voltais; Jean, chevalier de Saint-Lazare, écuyer de la grande écurie du Roi, en 1612, épouse Elisabeth Martin de Mauroy, dont: Françoise, marié en 1640 à Laurent le Blanc, seigneur de la Baume et de la Vallière, mort en 1710. Un lieutenant de vaisseau fusillé à Quiberon en 1795.
