Questo ramo, che discende dal colonnello di Casalborgone ha per suo stipite Oberto (1328), di Guidone di Cocconato (1305). Figlio di Oberto fu altro Oberto, detto il conte Grosso, il quale fu investito il 2 settembre 1365 dal marchese Giovanni di Monferrato, mentre il 27 gennaio 1380 fu investito dei feudi dall'imperatore Venceslao. Da Oberto nacquero Antonio, Teodoro e Pietro, i quali formarono linea. Quella di Teodoro si estinse a metà del secolo XVI coi pronipoti suoi, Corrado, di Teodoro, e Gio. Giacomo, di Guglielmo. Pietro (1425), ch fu notevole personaggio, ebbe per figlio Giovanni (1413-1431), li quale procreò Pietro (1458). Da costui discese Tommaso (1512), il quale fu padre di Ottaviano, Giovanni (1517), Pietro (1523), Sigismondo (1538), e Scipione (1536). Da Sigismondo nacquero Andreone (1558), Federico (1565), Annibale (1559-1574), Ercole Guglielmo e Gerolamo, padre quest'ultimo di Sigismondo (1604), col quale ebbe termine questa linea.
