Cette ancienne famille de Monsovito dans les Marches porte vraiment le nom de famille Procaccini-Ricci et c'est parce que Luigi Procaccini a épousé Giovanna noble Ricci au XVIIIe siècle, pour laquelle il épouse Ascanio Ricci, frère de ladite Giovanna et dernier de sa famille, avec son testament de 1809 ordonna que Vito Procaccini, fils du susdit et tous ses descendants, ajoute le patronyme Ricci et écartèle les armoiries. On se souvient de la famille Procaccini depuis le XVIe siècle et d'un Pandolfo, qui fut le principal de son pays et en occupa les premiers postes. Candido, qui fut plusieurs fois prieur et capitaine de sa terre, fut admis avec tous ses descendants en 1786 à la Noblesse de Corinaldo. Mais celui qui a le plus illustré cette famille est Vito, le premier qui a pris le double patronyme Procaccini-Ricci. Il est né le 30 janvier. 1765 par Luigi et Giovanni
