Ancienne et très noble famille de Bruges, capitale de la province belge de Flandre Occidentale, de vertu claire et ancestrale, qui s'est propagée dans le monde entier, au cours des siècles. L'évidente noblesse de la maison est confirmée par la présence de son blason dans le précieux ouvrage de JB Rietstap (12 mai 1828-24 décembre 1891), héraldiste et généalogiste néerlandais, "L'Armorial général", ouvrage monumental qui contient les blasons des armoiries de plus de 130 000 familles européennes. D'après ce que rapportent les textes héraldiques, cette illustre famille reçut le titre de noble avec lettres patentes du 17 octobre 1755. Henri, magistrat de France, mort à Bruges, le 24 octobre 1704, épousa la noble dame Marie De Vooght, qui décédé le 24 décembre 1711, et ils eurent : 1) Marie, née à Bruges, le 14 juin 1658, 2) Jacque, née à Bruges, le 7 mars 1660, 3) Jeanne, née à Bruges,
