Catalan feudal family whose branch moved to Cagliari in the 14th century. In 1365 a Pietro bought part of the Cagliari pond in allodio and in 1368 from the Montpavon family the lords of Goni and Senorbì, in 1370 he was invested with half of the Gesico castle. His son Antonio continued to expand the family's possessions: in 1373 he completed the purchase of the Cagliari pond; he participated in the wars against the Arborea and in 1390 the fiefdoms of Serenti, Samassi and Baralla were rewarded for his value. Upon her death, her daughter, married to Marco Montbuy, passed the fiefdoms into her husband's family. It was the custom of the oldest families, who after the fall of the Roman Empire, in that flood of the Barbarians, having their surnames, as well as their studies, and other beautiful things lost and left only with simple names, draw their surnames
