Famiglia oriunda da Castellazzo Bormida poi in Torino le cui prime memorie risalgono ad un Giovanni che viveva agli inizi del secolo XVI. Pietro Antonio, di Battista, aveva una cappella con sepolcro gentilizio con armi in Castellazzo. Pietro Paolo (nato Casalcermilli, 21 maggio 1743, defunto Torino, 31 maggio 1816), di Bartolomeo, fu vice uditore generale sovrannumerario di Corte e Cacce (1780), effettivo (1782) poi sostituito nel S.S. R. C. di Sardegna, e il 23 settembre 1791 ebbe il titolo di senatore. Fondò il 30 giugno 1815 una commenda patronata dei SS. Maurizio e Lazzaro. Sposò (1769) Anna Petronilla del conte presidente Gian Francesco Maistre e da queste nozze nacque, fra gli altri, Pietro Antonio (nato a Torino, 7 giugno 1772, defunto ivi, 12 febbraio 1819), che fu mastro uditore nella Camera dei Conti e decurione di seconda classe di Torino.
