Tra gli assediati del 1155 figurano i Pulvini dei quali Prevosto (nel testo erroneamente Pimostus) partecipò con l'abate di Chiaravalle Brunone di Bagnolo alle trattative di resa (16 aprile 1155) mitigandone le condizioni che imponevano l'esodo di tutti gli abitanti dalla città; non è noto dove esulassero, ma nei decenni successivi all'espastrio si riscontrano dei Pulvini notai a Pavia, Voghera, Picenza; in Val Borbera ed in Val Trebbia alcuni di essi, vassallli dei marchesi Malaspina, giurano fedeltà ai patti stipulati da quest'ultimo col comune di Tortona in merito al castello di Mongiardino. Riferendosi allo Scaglioso il Carnevale c'informa che nel 1217 un Pulvini, non meglio identificato, era console di Tortona; il che può essere verosimile poiché Artono, come membro della Credenza, il 16 maggio 1224 delibera in merito alla somma di lire mille che i consoli di Tortona obbligano versare al marchese Bosco a saldo del luogo omonimo; Giovanni
