Ma essendo soggetta alle mondane accidenti, ne tumulti che seguirono in Roma nella creatione di Papa Nicolò V nel 1447 Stefano, Filippo P. ad herendosi co' popoli s'acquistarono l'indignatione pontificia; per il che Stefano si ritirò in Napoli, e Filippo con le loro famiglia in Sicilia, e nella Città di Palermo, il cui figlio poi chiamato Antonio havendosi casato in Polizzi con Bertuzza Flodiola, si stabilì in quella città riccamente, e con quella tra gl'altri fece à Gio.
