È questa famiglia originaria di Pieve di Teco, ove i suoi membri coprirono cariche pubbliche e furono ab antiquo considerati nobili: furono commercianti e navigatori. Il nome si incontra fin dal 1191 in atti del 10 aprile del notaro Guglielmo Cassinense, da cui si rileva che un Alemanno possedeva una casa con portico e che partiva per Tiro di Gerusalemme. In atti del notaro Bartolomeo, residente in Bonifacio, promette di andare in Maremma e concede un mutuo a Bonello di Firenze. Dal Federici: "Origini e fasti delle famiglie della Liguria" sono ricordati: Tedisio, capitano di galea; Andalò, Nicolò, Luigi, anziani; Giovanni, podestà e castellano di Monaco. Quest'ultimo risulta tale il 24 novembre 1378 anche nel "Les Archives du palais", Serie D. Da genealogie e studi del Rev. Sertorio e da documenti dell'Archivio di Stato di Genova risulta che il 27 febbraio del 1340 Signorino, Cachio, Bernardino, Pietro, Giacomo come capi
