Un dottor Francesco tenne nel 1677-78 la carica di sindaco in Caltagirone e nel 1685-86 quella di senatore; un Antonino fu capitano di giustizia nella stessa città negli anni 1697-98-99. Un Matteo con privilegio dato a 6 agosto 1784, ottenne il titolo di barone di Piano del Grillo, titolo che, con Decreto Ministeriale del 16 luglio 1900, venne riconosciuto in persona di Ernesto Teodoro, nato in Chiaramonte Gulfi a 11 aprile 1838. La bibliografia di questa famiglia viene menzionata dal Marchese Vittorio Spreti, nella sua Enciclopedia Storico-Nobiliare Italiana stampato in Milano nel 1936. Raccogliendo manoscritti di contenuto araldico e nobiliare-genealogico, tra le biblioteche ed in moltissimi archivi pubblici e privati. Le testimonianze e i documenti raccolti per la formazione dell'opera in questione sono state trasmesse dalla famiglia stessa. Così come risulta dalla Rivista Araldica edita dal Collegio Araldico di Roma.
