Ai figli discendenti maschi, con ordine di primogenitura, spettano i titoli di cavaliere, nobile, don, conte di San Pietro di Scano e marchese di San Sebastiano; agli ultrogeniti maschi i titoli di cavaliere, nobile, don, nobile dei marchesi di San Sebastiano; ed alle femmine nobile, donna, nobile dei marchesi di San Sebastiano. Il titolo di cavaliere ereditario nasce dalla concessione fatta a Francesca Quesada Figo l'11 agosto 1699, quelli di nobile e don dalla concessione fatta allo stesso il 30 genn. 1700; quello di marche di San Sebastiano dal diploma rilasciato a Carlo Quesada Arborio il 2 settembre 1816 da Vittorio Emanuele I, re di Sardegna. Il re Carlo Alberto, con diploma 8 febbraio 1834, approvava l'alienazione, fatta don Pietro Vivaldi, duca di San Giovanni, a favore del marchese Quesada Arborio di San Sebastiano, dei feudi di Cuglieri e Scano, col titolo di conte di Cuglieri e visconte di Scano.
