Antichissima famiglia, origina del Castrum Sabloni, oggi Castello di Sabbione, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Le prime vestigia certe, lasciate dal casato, rinvengono al 10 giugno 1180, dal momento che, in un documento di alleanza, di detta data, tra i padovani, i conegliesi ed i cittadini di Ceneda, risulta citato un Fridigello "de Sabbione". Tre secoli più tardi e, precisamente, nel 1409, la famiglia risulta già ascritta al nobile Consiglio di Verona, in persona di un Bartolomeo Rabbioni ("Bartholomeus Sabloni") e, nel 1517, un Cristoforo Rabbioni era notaio e cancelliere del comune di Verona. Da detta città, in principio del XVI secolo, la famiglia si stabilì in Cologna, ove, tra il 1468 ed il 1720, i suoi membri, più volte, occuparono le cariche di Sindaco e Provveditore, come risulta dal seguente elenco: "1468 Sabbioni de' Spingardi Gio.
