Trae questa famiglia la sua origine da Lione e ad essa appartenne Giangiacomo, che fu medico, e che dal suo matrimonio con Anna, di Giovanni Battista Marene conte di Crova, ebbe per figli Giovanni Martino, che fu medico Giovanni Battista, che fu avvocato, e Domenico Giuseppe. Quest'ultimo fu infeudato di Emarese il 13 aprile 1781 ed investito col titolo baronale il 24 aprile, per maschi e femmine e, in caso di mancanza di prole, il di lui nipote Giangiacomo, di Giovanni Battista. Giangiacomo (deced. 28 aprile 1808) alla morte dello zio improle, succedette nel feudo di Emarese, del quale fu investito il 28 sett. 1782. Fu suo fratello Giuseppe Scipione, che fu avvocato e che venne infeudato di Castelrosso (Nizza) il 15 novembre 1782 e investito col titolo comitale il 7 successivo dic. Costui morì senza prole.
