Questa famiglia è oriunda di Reggio e se ne hanno notizie fin dal secolo decimoquinto. Carlo era fra gli anziani della città nel 1425, e Luca era canonico della cattedrale. Nel 1543 viveva un Antonio, che aveva per moglie Lodovica, del conte Giorgio Malaspina, vedova di Gio. Agostino Olivi di Pontremoli, e un Francesco viveva nel 1553. Si narra che un Raimondise, di Reggio, prendendo parte a Nizza ad un grande torneo indetto dall'imperatore Carlo V, ed al quale erano intervenuti molti cavalieri da ogni parte, si distinse molto e riuscì ad impossessarsi di una zucca, che era premio di una gara del torneo; che di questa sua abilità e distinzione Carlo V lo volle premiare, ponendo nel suo scudo, e memoria di ciò, una zucca, il cancello, che ricorda lo steccato del torneo, e le iniziali F.I.D.O. che significherebbero "Fidelitas Illius Donum Obtinuit". Nel 1625 vivevano Ottavio e Girolamo
