Ancienne famille sicilienne, de vertu claire et ancestrale, avec résidence dans la ville de Messine, répartie au cours des siècles dans diverses régions d'Italie et, principalement, en Lombardie. Certains historiens pensent que cette maison fut décorée de la chevalerie, en la personne d'un Michèle, soldat de Ferrante Ier d'Aragon, suite à son obstinée loyauté envers ledit Souverain. Giordano, juge, de Messine en 1576-77 ; Antonio, docteur en « utroque jure », demeurant à Messine, en 1524 ; D. Carlo, docteur en théologie, chanoine et pronotaire apostolique, demeurant à Messine, en 1562 ;
