Procede de la aldea de Rascón (cuyo nombre tomó) perteneciente al Ayuntamiento de Ampuero y partido judicial de Laredo (Santander), con líneas en esta villa, en el Valle de Cayón, en el Valle de Liendo y en las Asturias de Santillana. Otra pasó a la ciudad de Salamanca, quedando allí establecida, y de ella era descendiente en fines del siglo XVI Antonio R. Cornejo, natural y Regidor perpetuo de Salamca, Familiar del Danto Oficio de la Inquisición y Cofrade de Roque Amador. Se unió en matrimonio con doña María Rodríguez, de la misma naturaleza, y procrearon a Pedro R. Cornejo, natural de Salamanca, Regidor perpetuo de esta ciudad y Crofade de Roque Amador, que casó con doña Inés Farfán y Ledesma, de igual naturaleza (hija de Pedro Farfán, Regidor perpetuo de Salamanca, y de doña Ana de Ledesma, naturales de Salamanca).
