Famille de robe qui compte parmi ses membres les seigneurs de Combettes, de Mauriac, etc. Jean, chanoine de N.-D. du Puy, fut désigné par Jean de Bourbon pour prendre en son nom possession du siège épiscopal du Puy. Il vivait en 1444. Durand Ravissac, premier consul (1565), est qualifié bourgeois du Puy en 1568. Catherine était feudataire de la collégiale St-Georges en 1573; Claude, troisième consul du Puy en 1603. Noble Jean, seigneur de Mauriac, premier consul de cette ville (1647), marié à Angélique de Pollalion, était bayle pour le Roi en la Cour commune du Velay; Claude, conseiller du Roi, bailli de la Cour royale et commune du Puy en 1677. Des chanoines et dignitaires du chapitre de Notre-Dame. Marguerite, fille de Jean précité et veuve de Jean de Pujol, seigneur de Beaufort, fit inscrire, dans d'Hozier, les armes suivantes: D'argent, à une bande de gueules.
